John Horler Trio – Digging Bill Evans

John Horler Trio – Digging Bill Evans

John Horler and his trio pay their respects to the genius that is Bill Evans - celebrating the legendary pianist and bandleader's trailblazing innovations, which transformed modern jazz forever.

Featuring John’s long-time associate Alec Dankworth on bass and Ronnie Jones on drums - this is an opportunity to see one of Britain's most cherished and acclaimed jazz pianists playing the music he loves.

John Horler has performed with the leading lights of modern jazz over his illustrious career including: Sir John Dankworth; Dame Cleo Laine (accompanist for 20 years); Chet Baker; Maynard Ferguson; Pete King; Art Farmer; Zoot Sims; Ronnie Ross; Kenny Wheeler; Tommy Whittle and Tony Coe.

Horler recognises Evans as the most influential figure in his playing, a jazz language which spoke to him in accents of Debussy, Ravel and Brahms; constantly surprising and inspiring him throughout his long career.

With sold-out performances at Ronnie Scott’s under their belt - this line-up is not to be missed.
