DESCRIPTION:Arran Shanghavi’s Quintet returns following a very popular support session in 2022. Arran lives in Berkhamsted and is a BJazz Member. His Quintet is made up of other talented local jazz musicians\, including students of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and Royal Academy of Music. \nThey will perform a selection from the classic jazz repertoire and one or two original compositions before the Oct 7th ’23 Alex Clarke Quartet session. Doors and the bar open early at 06:45 pm\, but of course this is a club atmosphere so the band know people will be coming in and going to and from the bar during their set. \nThe band is led by Arran on piano\, Mark Bonner trumpet\, Julian Brandon tenor sax\, Jono Hilliam drums\, Ben Shankland bass ( https://www.benshankland.co.uk/about ) \nDoors and Bar open early: 06:45 p.m. \nThere are no tickets specifically for Arran’s Quintet performance – they are part of the overall concert that evening\, available via this link: \nhttps://bjazz.org/concerts/alex-clarke-quartet-clarke-newton-green-tracey-live-jazz-sax/
