Robert Fowler is taking the place of Scott Hamilton as the lead for our Jan 11^th concert as Scott isn’t able to travel for health reasons. Robert is one of British jazz's greatest tenor-saxophonists. Securely rooted in the classic traditions of Coleman Hawkins, Lester Young, Chu Berry and their peers. He teams up with Scott’s all-star band of John Pearce on piano, Dave Green bass and Steve Brown drums for all Scott’s bookings including the residency at Pizza Express.

Robert's jazz career started whilst studying graphic design in Bristol. He has since performed and recorded with artists like Rufus Wainwright, Bryan Ferry, the Humphrey Lyttelton Band, a long stint with the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, The Echoes of Ellington, the BBC Big Band, his own Gerry Mulligan Concert Jazz Band, the Pizza Express All-Stars, Alan Barne’s Octet and Karen Sharp as well as plenty of film sessions.

Scott looks forward to full recovery and a return to travel from his Italian base during 2025.
