Following the Support Act (Noah Chiari Quartet, doors 6:45 for 7:10-7:50pm) we have at 8:00 a celebration of the distinctively funky soul jazz of the legendary hard bop pianist and composer Horace Silver. Performed by great bassist Marianne Windham with Andrea Vicari’s Group featuring her on piano plus Clare Hirst (tenor sax), Steve Fishwick (trumpet), Matt Fishwick (drums).

The Horace Silver Project promise to win you over with their all-action and swinging tribute to a founding father of soulful hard bop, including favourites from his enduring Blue Note recordings such as The Preacher, Song for my Father and Sister Sadie.
