A Support Act as part of BJazz "Showcasing Emerging Talent" initiative. Early doors 6:45 then from 7:10 to 7:50pm the Casey Whyte Quartet, violin led, they will play a range of jazz, from classic standards to some of their own compositions.

Casey Whyte: Casey is an 18 year old jazz/classical violinist and composer currently in her 1st year studying jazz at the Royal Academy of music. Casey has played at venues such as pizza express live, 606 club and Kings Place, and guested with Nigel Kennedy at Ronnie Scott’s, Stephen Keogh, Robin Nolan, Stochelo and Mozes Rosenburg and Paulus Schafer.

Casey is particularly inspired by Jerry Bergonzi, Michael Brecker, Chick Corea, Oscar Peterson, Jean Luc Ponty and Gareth Lockrane.‘Casey is the real deal. Oscar Lyons is a 20-year-old British Mexican pianist and composer. Described by UK Jazz News as "hugely talented", and "a once-in-a-generation talent" by jazz pianist Chris Ingham, Lyons is working with some of the most exciting musicians on the scene.

At the age of 18, Lyons was invited to play at the London-based concert series Jazz in the Round. He has also performed twice at the Watford Jazz Junction, supporting Emma Rawicz and Mark Kavuma. Festival director Chris Newstead describes Lyons as “extraordinary… a future star of European jazz”.

Herbie Rees is a London-based electric bassist and composer, currently studying jazz at the Royal Academy of Music. Blending influences from Allan Holdsworth, Jaco Pastorius, and Wayne Krantz, his playing spans jazz, funk, soul, and beyond. He has performed at leading London venues including The 606 Club and Pizza Express Holborn.

Cian Burton is a drummer and composer from the Bucks area. He draws influence from a wide range of musicians such as Tony Williams, Elvin Jones, Don Weiss and Ari Hoenig just to name a few. Cian is currently in his second year studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
